1990s – 2000s

  • Business founded
  • Primarily Focused on Property, Liability, Workers’ Compensation and Surety Lines

2000s – 2010s

  • Added new producers and multiple officers

  • Created MGA / Program Management Division, with a focus on Commercial Property and Commercial Auto Programs

2010s – Present

  • Significant expansion of Wholesale, Retail and TPA Divisions

  • Grew Retail segment through producer hires and Select acquisition

  • Entered traditional Wholesale business through Brooks Insurance Agency acquisition

  • Significantly expanded TPA capabilities through the acquisition of Carl Warren

1993: Jason Turner forms CalPro doing business as Certified Bond & Insurance Services
2000: CalPro generates $50 million of premium
2002: Venbrook Group and Venbrook Specialty Services are formed
2007: AVI Risk Services is acquired; Built out northeast platform (PA, NJ, DE and MD)
2008: San Diego location is added
2009: Built out Program Management (MGA) with formation of Cardigan General Insurance Services, FITCO Sports & Fitness Program and Transportation division
2010: Construction and Real Estate Divisions created
2012: Jason Turner buys out ownership equity of the company or acquires majority share of the company and makes additional capital investments
2013: Venbrook acquisitions and forms Employee Benefits Division
2015: AVI Risk sold in June 2015; Opened Orange County offices
2016: Acquired Brooks Insurance Agency
2018: Acquired Student Insurance
2019: Acquired Carl Warren & Company
2020: Acquired ComStar Insurance, Acquired Megan Insurance
2021: Acquired DMA Claims
